Title: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Residence Hall Coordinator

Kenadi Rising joined the Southwestern Community College women's basketball staff following an accomplished collegiate playing career that spanned the NJCAA, NCAA Division I, and NCAA Division II levels.

A native of Rapid City, South Dakota, Rising scored more than 1,000 career points while competing at Highland Community College, Abilene Christian University, and The University of Texas Permian Basin. Throughout her career, she was recognized for both her success on the court and in the classroom.

During her final season at UTPB, Rising earned Third-Team Lone Star Conference honors and was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. She started 28 games and led the Falcons in scoring, rebounding, field goals made, and three-pointers made while surpassing the 1,000-career-point milestone. She also earned UTPB Women's Student-Athlete of the Month honors and helped lead the Falcons to the Lone Star Conference Tournament.

Prior to UTPB, Rising played at Abilene Christian University, where she appeared in 23 games and earned Academic All-WAC honors. She began her collegiate career at Highland Community College, where she was a two-year starter and standout performer. Rising earned First-Team and Third-Team All-Conference honors, was named NJCAA First-Team All-Academic, and finished her Highland career with 801 points, 403 rebounds, and 144 assists.

Rising earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Emporia State University and her Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Coaching and Administration from The University of Texas Permian Basin. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was recognized on multiple conference academic honor rolls throughout her collegiate career.

As a coach, Rising is passionate about recruiting, player development, academic achievement, and building strong team cultures. Having experienced the junior college pathway firsthand, she understands the opportunities it can provide student-athletes and is committed to helping players reach their goals both on and off the court.

Outside of basketball, Rising grew up competing in rodeo and enjoys fitness, leadership development, and mentoring the next generation of student-athletes.
