The Spartan men and women kicked off their indoor track and field season in school-record fashion. Head Coach Trey Bruton explains, "This was the best first meet that I have been a part of. We broke a number of school records and really got the season started off on the right foot." The Southwestern men and women stayed close to home to compete in a NCAA Division II-heavy event held at Northwest Missouri State University. Coach Bruton finished, "Starting at the level we did gives me a lot of hope for how the rest of this year will go. I know we can achieve a lot this year. We will grow and get better as a team with everyone doing their part."
