Madisyn Havermann became an assistant coach for the Spartans' volleyball program at Southwestern in May 2026.
A graduate of Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, Havermann played for the Iowa Western Reivers from 2021-23, assisting them to a national championship in 2021. It was during this time Havermann played for Alyssa Jeffrey, who is now the head coach for the Spartans. During her time playing at the collegiate level, Havermann was honored as both the defensive and offensive player of the week. Havermann then continued on as a student-athlete at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha. She feels sports have helped her develop strong time management skills, discipline, and teamwork skills while balancing life's responsibilities.
Havermann earned her Associate of Arts degree in business administration from Iowa Western in 2023 and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration & management from the College of Saint Mary in May 2025.
In addition to coaching, she is a residence hall coordinator in SWCC student housing.
