CRESTON, Iowa — The countdown is on.
Southwestern Community College Women's Basketball has officially unveiled its 2026-27 schedule, and with it comes the start of a brand new era under first-year Head Coach Ty Curry.
New leadership. New faces. New energy.
While much of this year's team remains under wraps, one thing is already clear—the Spartans are preparing to play with a relentless edge and a renewed purpose. Featuring a talented mix of returning players, impact transfers, and exciting newcomers, this group is ready to write its own story.
Who will emerge as this year's leaders? Which newcomers will make an immediate impact? Fans won't have to wait much longer to find out.
The journey begins October 3 at the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Jamboree before the Spartans officially tip off the regular season at the Moberly Area Classic against NJCAA Division I opponents Moberly Area Community College and John A. Logan College.
The home opener is set for Monday, November 2, when Southwestern welcomes Peru State College back to Creston after last season's thrilling matchup. From there, the Spartans will battle through one of the toughest schedules in Region 11, featuring conference showdowns and marquee home contests throughout the winter.

- Jan. 2 – New Year showdown at home vs. Iowa Central Community College
- Feb. 27–Mar 1 – Region XI Tournament
- Mar. 6 – District Championship
