The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has announced its 2026 all-region honorees for NJCAA Division II men’s golf, recognizing individual and team excellence from throughout the season. The all-region performers earned their designations based on their finishes at the district tournament, with the top 15 players earning honors. The Golfer of the Year and Coach of the Year were determined based on season-long performance as voted on by the coaches.

Kirkwood’s Ted Sargeant was named the ICCAC Golfer of the Year after wrapping up a season with an average score of 72, two wins, six top-three finishes, and an NJCAA DII ranking of fourth on Scoreboard. He put together four rounds under par, with the most impressive coming at the North Central District Championship, where he fired a 6-under-par round — 11 strokes ahead of second place. He is the first Kirkwood golfer to win the award since Brandon McCarty took home the honor in 2022.

Southwestern Head Coach Doug North took home the ICCAC Coach of the Year award after leading the Spartans to five wins, six top-three finishes, an average score of 301, and an NJCAA DII ranking of 20th. The Spartans’ most impressive finish came at the NIACC Fall Invitational, where they shot 16 under par as a team — their lowest of the season. They won the War at the Moor, the Graceland Fall Invitational, the Mineral Area College Fall Invitational, and the Graceland Spring Invitational. North will take home this honor for the first time in his career as the Spartans’ coach. See RELATED ARTICLE

Along with Sargeant, Kirkwood took home another First Team All-Region honor in Ryan Lynch. Lynch finished the year with a runner-up finish at the District Championship and an average score of 74.8. His best performance came at the Southwestern Premier, where he was second out of 72 golfers. He fired a 73 on the first day with four birdies before shooting a 74 on the second day, when he forced a playoff for a chance at a win.

Northeast had two First Team All-Region honorees in Luke Bonser and D’Arcy White. Bonser finished the year with an average score of 74.1 in 12 total rounds. He placed in the top three once, finishing second at the district championship. White put together a strong season for the Hawks with a win and a 73.7 scoring average. His best finish was at The Battle of the Mississippi, where he finished in first place with a score of 1 over par.

Rounding out the First Team All-Region honorees is Southwestern’s Freddie Muggeridge, who put together a strong season full of consistent finishes. Muggeridge finished with four wins, five top-three finishes, and an average scoring round of 73.3. He also earned a berth to the NJCAA National Tournament for the second straight season. His strongest performance of the season came at the NIACC Fall Invitational, where he finished 6 under par with an eagle and seven birdies. The total of 66 is the lowest he has shot in his collegiate career. Muggeridge scored under par in four tournaments this year after not achieving that in a tournament last season.

NIACC had two golfers on the Second Team All-Region squad: Garrett Ham and Austin Stene. Ham finished the year with three top-three finishes and had his best round at the NIACC Spring Invitational, where he shot 3 under par. He was one stroke away at the district championship from forcing a playoff with a chance to advance to the national tournament. Stene finished the season with an average score of 78.7 and a 10th-place finish at the district championship.

Kirkwood’s Second Team All-Region honoree was Isaiah Zoske, who finished with one win on the year at the Mustang Fall Classic. He shot 3 under par in the first tournament of his collegiate career. He birdied seven holes and finished three strokes ahead of the field. Zoske ended the season with a scoring average of 73.3 and a national NJCAA DII ranking of 26th on Scoreboard.
