Ashley Porter and Hannah Ryan, of Davis, IL, have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their volleyball careers at Southwestern Community College.
Ryan (pictured sitting, at left), who will graduate from Dakota High School in May 2017, was a two-time first-team all-conference member and two-time team MVP for the Dakota Lady Indian volleyball team. Ryan is also a member of the track team where she was named team MVP and an all-conference selection during the 2016 season.
Porter (pictured sitting, at right), who will also graduate from Dakota High School in May 2017, was a two-time first-team all-conference selection, team MVP, and team Pride, Hustle and Desire Award winner for the Dakota Lady Indians. Porter is also a member of the basketball team.
Southwestern Head Volleyball Coach Aleesha Cleaver is very excited to add both athletes to the program.
"Ashley and Hannah are going to be tremendous assets to our program. They bring a winning mentality coming from such a successful program at Dakota," stated Cleaver. "I know they will make an immediate impact on the program and campus at Southwestern."
