Southwestern Community College Head Coach Addae Houston has added Colorado student-athlete Vanessa Romo to his line-up for the 2017-18 Spartan women’s basketball campaign.

Romo, a 5-foot-7-inch guard, from Denver, CO, played for Legacy High School where she earned second-team all-conference honors two seasons during high school.  She graduated in May 2017.

Houston said he is excited to have Romo on-board with the Spartans and feels she will be a great addition to their core group of guards.

“Vanessa is a solid guard who is a threat from deep,” Houston explained. “She will stretch the defense with her ability to shoot from the outside.”

Romo said she is thankful for the opportunity to play for the Spartans and is looking forward to playing college basketball.

She is the daughter of Tony Romo and Angel Roy.
